Due to numerous ill effects of injury from power lifting with weights far exceeding what I should have been attempting at my age (77 yrs) and wearing out of joints, I have been a client of Davidson Massage.
 
No other among many treatments I have undergone has been effective.  The work of Ms. Joanne Wiles has been remarkable in its' effectiveness.  Massage by other well-known offices has been ineffective.
 
I have for a year and a half consistently received fine treatments and at minimal cost.  The prescribing doctor, Thomas Gross, has advised me to continue these treatments indefinitely if required due to aging and continued deterioration of the joint materials.  I intend to continue to continue and receive the benefits of these massages.  I recommend them highly to anyone.

I've been coming to Davidson Therapeutic Massage for some time now.  I've had neck, shoulder and upper back pain for 10 years.  I was in a car accident in 2003 where I had an AC joint separation (shoulder) rotator cuff tear and severe cervical (neck) strains.  Since coming to Davidson Therapeutic Massage I can have a normal, active life whereas physical therapy told me I'd never be out of pain or off pain medication.  I found Joanne Wiles to be able to do deep tissue and myofascial release on my neck and shoulders.  She uses hot stones to warm the tight muscles and then is able to get into the deep layers where there are knots and spasms.  I have found such relief that I get a massage once a week!

As a chiropractor, every day I remind my patients how important it is not only to address the nerve component of their pain, but also to address the muscle and myofascial component as well.  A lot of radiating pain can stem from trigger points in chronically spasmed muscle even after nerve interference has been removed.  The therapists at Davidson Therapeutic Massage, and especially Joanne Wiles understand the nerve, muscle and joint component to pain.  They quickly identify secondary sources of radiating pain within muscle groups and work to relieve them.  They also know when to refer to other practitioners if needed.
 
Don't get me wrong.  Joanne and the other therapists also know how to give great relaxing and stress relieving massage as well.  It is comforting to know that there are therapists in the lake region who know how to balance them both.
