Don received his initital massage therapy training at the Swedish Institute in New York City, the oldest established school of massage in the United States. After graduating in 1988, Don practiced massage in various venues including healthcare facilities, chiropractic offices and day spas before establishing a successful private practice in Manhattan. Don moved to the Lake Norman area in 2002. In June 2005, he and business partner Cindy Livingston opened the doors of Davidson Therapeutic Massage.
Don's therapeutic focus is on deep tissue massage and he became certified in the St. John method of Neuromuscular Therapy in 1994. He has also studied structural bodywork, including Postural Integration, Myofascial Release and Myoskeletal Alignment. He combines these therapies and his extensive experience in Sports Massage to address a wide variety of soft tissue injuries and postural stresses and related myofascial pain.

Cindy attended Southeastern School of Massage with a focus on Neuromuscular Massage after enjoying a rewarding career in both hospital and home care nursing. Following her graduation in 1997, Cindy helped establish a successful Neuromuscular Massage clinic where she practiced for 8 years until she and business partner Don Tendler opened the doors of Davidson Therapeutic Massage in June 2005.
Cindy combines her nursing background with her expertise in soft tissue therapy to effectively treat back and neck pain, Fibromyalgia, Plantar Fasciitis, Sciatica and other acute and chronic conditions. She applies a multi-modality approach, combining muscle release techniques, Myokinesthtetic Therapy and Visceral Massage to bring relief to her clients.
Cindy is licensed by the state of North Carolina and certified in Neuromuscular Therapy.

Joanne has lived in the Charlotte area for over 25 years and in the Lake Norman area for the past twelve years. She is a member of the Emergency Response Team of North Carolina and a breast cancer survivor. She has been associated with Davidson Therapeutic Massage since September of 2006
Joanne is dedicated to helping others lead happy, healthy lives and views massage as an important part of any healthy living strategy.
Joanne is a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College with an AAS. She received her certification of massage therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy in 2002. She is also certified and experienced in Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Visceral Massage, C-1 and C-2 Neck Stabilization, Aromatherapy and Reiki.

Judith chose Neuromuscular Therapy as a second career after receiving a severe whiplash injury in a car accident in 2001. She sought treatment from a variey of sources including traditional medicine, physical therapy and chiropractic work. Her greatest relief came at the hands of a Neuromuscular Therapist. Her personal experience, combined with a desire to bring positive change to people's lives led her to massage therapy school.
Ther primary focus of Judith's extensive massage training has been Neuromuscular Therapy and Myosfacial Release. She graduated from massage school in December 2006 with a strong knowledge of current Neuromuscular and Myofascial techniques and many hours of clinical experience.
As the newest member of the Davidson Therapeutic Massage team, Judith has already established herself as a Neuromuscular Therapist who combines knowldege and interest in bone and muscle pathologies with an excellent skill base to provide pain relief from back, neck and shoulder strain, postural anomalies and autoimmune disease.
Judith has lived and worked in the Lake Norman area for 13 years.
